Privacy Policy

Last updated September 16, 2026.

This Privacy Policy describes how Aircad ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Aircad web application (the "Service"). The Service is in private alpha; this policy will change as it does.

Information we collect

  • Account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, display name, and profile picture URL. We do not receive your Google password. When you sign in with a code sent to your email, we receive only your email address.
  • Access requests: if you request alpha access, we store your email plus any name, company, and use-case note you submit, and we keep the approval status of that request.
  • Files and content: CAD drawings, images, thumbnails, version history, and other content you create or upload are stored on our servers so you can open them from any device. File contents are not end-to-end encrypted. We and the providers that host the Service can access them in order to run it.
  • Sharing and teams: when you invite someone to a file or a team, we store their email address, the role you assigned, and who sent the invite.
  • Preferences: editor settings such as snapping are stored with your account. Appearance (light/dark) is stored in your browser, not on our servers.
  • Usage data: our hosting providers record technical logs such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, and request paths to operate and secure the Service. We also use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate page-view and referrer data. That analytics product does not use cookies and is not tied to your account.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.

How we use information

  • To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
  • To store, sync, render, and share your files as you direct.
  • To review alpha access requests and email you about approval.
  • To operate, debug, and improve the Service — including detecting abuse and enforcing our Terms.
  • To send transactional email, such as share invites and access notices.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it with vendors only as needed to run the Service: Google (sign-in), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Supabase (authentication, database, and realtime), Cloudflare (file storage), and Resend (email). When you sign in with Google, Google's own privacy policy applies to that sign-in.

If you share a file or put it in a team, the people with access can see that file's content and your name. While they are in the file, they can also see live collaboration signals such as your display name, cursor, and selection. You control who you invite; we do not make files public.

We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Aircad, our users, or others.

Data retention and deletion

Files you own are kept until you delete them or delete your account. If you have alpha access, you can delete your account from the Account page. That removes your login and the files you own.

It does not remove copies other people already have — including forks — or files you could access but did not own. Access-request records may remain after your login is deleted. Operational logs and backups may persist for a limited time. If you requested access and want that record removed, email us.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can export files from the app, and approved accounts can be deleted from the Account page. For anything else, contact us at the email below.

Security

Traffic to the Service uses HTTPS. Access to files is limited to your account and people you share with. No system is perfectly secure; please keep the Google or email account you sign in with secure and your devices up to date.

Where data is processed

We process data in the United States and in other countries where our providers operate.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page by updating the "Last updated" date.
